At Faversham Laundry Service, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact through innovative energy recovery and water-saving solutions. Our state-of-the-art systems include:
Recover heat from flue gases to pre-heat water, improving efficiency in steam production.
Our compressors and hydraulic presses are equipped with heat exchangers that recover heat from oil coolers, helping to warm water and reduce electricity consumption.
75% of water used in our batch washers is recycled from previous cycles, significantly reducing water usage while recovering pre-heated water.
For over five years, we’ve used low-temperature wash chemicals, enabling us to lower wash temperatures from 60°C to 40°C across most of our processed work, improving energy efficiency except for healthcare and food trade where we need to guarantee thermal disinfection to be compliant.
Installed on our domestic hot water system, contributing to sustainable energy use (efficiency monitored).
Our gas dryers use a heat exchanger to recycle pre-heated air, operating at 80% recirculation, reducing energy consumption.
Our laundry is purpose built, and it is one of the most technologically advanced and environmentally friendly in Europe. We use a bore hole on site and our build is designed to recover water. This means we save over 2 Olympic swimming pools per week. Over 90% of our customers are within 30 miles of the factory, and most of our customers are only a short drive away from each other.
